Whether you're looking for advice on living well alone, finding suitable accommodation, accessing care services, or facing the risk of homelessness, knowing where to go for help is a step towards solving the problem and improving your situation.

  • Do you rent your home from the council? Or maybe you’re looking for a home? From paying rent and house repairs, to advice on damp and benefit support thiis link is the go to place for all council housing information.

  • For many people living alone can feel challenging and even lonely at times. It's important to know you're not alone. There's lots of support is available in your local community with friendly groups who can help you continue to live independently and feel less lonely.​

  • If everyday life is becoming too hard at home a care home could be an option. Find out if you or someone you know could be eligible for support with nursing and care costs from the council or NHS.​

  • If you’re a veteran (or are within your last 12 months of service) and you are at risk of homelessness or need housing advice, our Armed Forces Case Workers are here to help you.

  • Facing homelessness is distressing and difficult time. Our freephone can connect you to help if you are currently homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. Contact us as soon possible if you’re at risk of losing your home so that we can help prevent this.​
